  5. This disc contains the DuneII upgrade for CD-Rom version 1.30 to 1.31. This
  6. version has support for the 16-bit sound card.
  7.  
  8. You will need this if you have a RiscPC 700, A7000, OR RiscPC 600 with 16-bit
  9. sound card installed. If you don't have a 16-bit sound system, do not use
  10. this upgrade.

  12. How to upgrade
  13. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  14. First, locate the Dune II Saves directory. Then, double-click on !Dune2UpGd
  15. The new code will be installed into the Dune II Saves directory, and when
  16. you next run Dune II, it will be loaded instead of the code on the CD-ROM.

  18. You should see the version string "1.31" on the bottom right hand corner
  19. of the first screen. If you do not, then try it again. If this still
  20. persists, then contact us.

  22. The upgrade is stored inside the !DuneSaves directory, and this must be seen
  23. first before playing Dune II with the new sound driver. If you lose your
  24. saves directory, then create a new one, and re-upgrade using this disc.
